So, today finally realised how to get good rotations from a planar controller (X and Z). So instead of using Euler which was giving me wrong results I just used ICE’s Rotation which requires an Axis and an Angle. Arc Lenght Formula being used to get the Angle bit: L= πθr / 180 <=> θ […]
Rigging a character with BendOp, I’ve noticed that unlke other packages, Softimage Bend’s Angle is not tied with Radius. I like it that way, but for this task I needed it to be tied. Here’s a fix with ICE. Found at: http://si-community.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5151 The compound is a very simplistic implementation that will need tweaking to work […]
Little compound to filter transforms in a given Matrix. Only supports SRT Matrices for now :/ Files at: http://app.box.com/s/k8kbdfh866b93o0mpu0c
An update on pb_EnvelopeByRadius: http://vimeo.com/84025815 since I was feeling the need for more per null options. Also one to use with single Weights Compounds and script found here: http://si-community.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4897 The script can be very slow to run (no idea why) and should be applied without the compound inputs and outputs being connected.
Model from Illusive Studios: http://illusive.pt/ Doritos rig: http://softimageblog.com/archives/209 Compound download: http://si-community.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4768&start=0 An ICE Compound that sets Envelope weights with a custom location and radius influence. A group or groups are required and the group ID order must match the Deformers ID order.

Just an addition to what is found here: http://xsisupport.com/2011/12/14/ice-modeling-placing-copies-on-another-object/ I've made this to ease up when I model with instances in LightWave and want to replicate them in SI without baking them.
Wanted to scramble the Polygon Index to control how instances are scattered on polygons in LightWave. This brought up a bigger and common puzzle, how to sort a set of arrays, meaning, leave each set elements intact but change their index. I wanted what I can do in Python, a list of lists. But no […]
Translation of the last table into a Flash presentation where I can have additional info everywhere, a smaller format and still be able to do the comparison that the tables provide. Still, I miss hyper-text capabilities and progressive updates capability, so my next effort would probably involve a Wikia enviorment.
